Library Circulation Hours:
8:45 - 9:30 AM - Monday-Friday
Student Check-Out Info:
Grades K-1: Check out up to 2 books at a time
Grades 2-5: Check out up to 5 books at a time
If students have 2 or more overdue books, they will not be allowed to check out any additional books until overdue books are returned
Any student is able to take more books if needed for a specific project, just let Ms. Cole know
Books are loaned for 2 weeks but may be renewed unless they're on hold. Students have as long as they need to read!
Students ARE allowed and ENCOURAGED to take books over school breaks
Students may put ONE book on hold
Students are restricted to ONE Graphic Novel checked out at a time
Teacher Check-Out Info:
Teachers have unlimited checkouts!
You are welcome in the Media Center at any time to browse and select books or you may use Destiny to place holds on any books you would like. I will deliver them to your classroom ASAP (please give me a week to pull books for you). You can also email Ms. Cole something vague like, "I'd like a mixture of nonfiction and picture books about fish" and I'll do the hunting for you! Just make sure you ask for a number of books so I know what you need.
Overdue, Lost Books, & Fines:
Wakefield does not charge for overdue books
If a student loses a book, the parent may pay for the replacement of the book using the online system.
If a student or family is worried about paying for a book, have them contact Ms. Cole directly.
Fines are not charged for accidental damage or other circumstances out of student control, but if a student damages a book on purpose they will be asked to replace the book.
