FAQs

HOW DO I ACCESS THE INTERNET?

Students should access the WAKE-BYOD Network while on campus. Students can search for this network by typing in WAKE-BYOD. There is no password. There will be no 3G or 4G usage allowed, as students' personal device data plans do not have the same high level of security filters as the Wake County networks employ.

WHEN MAY I USE MY DEVICE?

Students may use their devices during instructional time, with teacher direction and instruction.

WILL THERE BE CHARGING STATIONS?

It is recommended that students bring fully charged devices to use during the school day. If students choose to bring a charger, they may charge their device with teacher permission ONLY. Students should not leave devices unattended to charge.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A DEVICE TO BRING?

Students without a personal device will be issued a device at the start of the school day. He or she will use that same device throughout the school day and return it to his or her last period teacher. Students will be responsible for disinfecting the device at the end of the school day.
