Spoken Word Contest:

• Create a 3-minute or less video of an original written piece and submit it to the above link.

• $1000, $500, and $300 will be awarded to the top 3 students submissions and all 12 finalists will receive honorable mentions and a $100 Amazon gift card.

Anthology of Poetry

• You can submit both short stories and poetry here. 

• If your work is chosen, it can be published in their annual anthology book. 

• Their focus is to amplify young writers, K-12, and their stories.

Rattle -- Poetry

• Rattle has all different kinds of contests, some going on constantly and others with set deadlines 

• This is a great website for submissions as you can submit multiple poems at a time. 

• Make sure to look at the requirements and recommendations for each contest you submit to. 

Wake Up and Read - 2 hours maximum 

• The following information is all from their sign-up form:

  • "Volunteers are needed to prepare books and materials for distribution."

  • "Volunteers may be sorting, counting, bagging, boxing, receiving, or organizing books and materials."

  • "Volunteers under age 15 must have a parent or guardian with them.  All volunteers under 18 must bring a signed minor liability waiver."

• Screenshot any confirmation and submit for hours to count

Donate books to the library - 30 minutes per book donated (1 hours MAX)

• Donate books you don't need/want anymore to the local library!

• Take a selfie or photo of you donating the books to earn the hours.
