Mr. Hill

I am excited about another great year at Wakefield Elementary School in

2023-24!  I am Mr. Hill, and this is my 17th year at Wakefield and 20th

year in Wake County.  I have been teaching for 31 years now, and have seen

lots of changes to education, but our kids still remain the same.  Eager

and excited to learn! I love teaching Elementary Physical Education and

getting to know each of you!  One of the best parts of my job is that I

get to know every student. I am planning on lots of fun and exciting times

as we learn more about our bodies and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  I know we have faced many challenges in the last few years, but I am so amazed at the resiliency of my students!

My wife's name is Anita, and I have two daughters.  Caitlin is married and living in Whitsett and is a stay at home mom.  My daughter Madison lives in Wake Forest.

I have two grandsons!  The oldest's name is Davis Gabriel!  He will be three in November!  He is so special!!! The youngest's name is Tate Gabriel!  We call him Tater Tot!  He will celebrate his first birthday in October!

I love to golf and spend time at the beach.  I am an assistant JV boys basketball coach at Wakefield High School. I also love the Duke Blue Devils, Green Bay Packers, Carolina Hurricanes, East Carolina Pirates, and the Chicago Cubs.  My office door is always open for a visit,

Elementary Physical Education Philosophy

My goal is that every child learns basic sports skills as well as social

skills.  I want physical education class to be an enjoyable experience that

will translate into a healthy lifetime.
