1.  8th Grade Formal: We will host an 8th Grade formal on campus on the evening of (Thursday, June 6, 2024) to celebrate our students for the year’s accomplishments. Below are the requirements that must be met for students to receive an invitation to the formal. 

Please note: Students are NOT guaranteed an invitation. Please be mindful of your student’s academic and behavioral standing BEFORE you make preparations for the dance. Students and families should be proactive in checking PowerSchool and reaching out to teachers to inquire about assignments in advance to ensure an opportunity to attend the dance. Dress code & other details will be included with the invitation.

By April 30, 2024, students must have a final passing grade (60+) for: 

1. 1. Math (overall grade for the year, as of May 12)

   2. ELA (overall grade for the year, as of May 12)

   3. Social Studies OR Science, and

   4. two electives (any two classes from any quarter this school year)

2. By June 7, 2024, students must have no more than two ISS assignments. 

3. By June 7, 2024, students must have no more than one Out-of-School Suspension.

4. Participate in all EOGs and EOCs (when required)

**All assignments must be turned in for consideration by April 30 at 2:10pm.

Students who meet all of these requirements will receive an invitation to purchase tickets from May 20 - 31. Students who exceed the ISS or OSS limits after receiving an invitation will have their invitation revoked. This activity is only open to current East Millbrook Magnet Middle School students.
