During the first week of school, August 23 - 27, each kindergarten student will be assigned to come to school for one day. During that day, the students will engage in a full day of learning activities in a smaller group setting. This will allow our new kindergarteners to become familiar with campus, staff and routines. It also allows the teachers to meet the students and complete some assessments to help us build balanced classes. Don't worry, the assessments will not feel like assessments to the children! They will have a full day of fun- including recess and specials, and they will be likely go home tired!
Staggered Entry dates will be sent to each family.
Please be sure to mark your calendar for Kindergarten Open House on Friday, August 27th. This is a floating event that will run from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm and provide an opportunity for you to visit your child's classroom, meet his / her teacher, and get a small glimpse into routines, expectations, etc... to begin the year!
Monday, August 30, will be the first day ALL kindergarten students begin attending school daily with their teacher and classmates!
