My name is Jennifer Davis. I grew up in the small town of Mocksville, North Carolina and attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where I majored in Elementary Education. While a student at Furman, I spent a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain where I totally fell in love with the Spanish language and culture. After graduating from Furman, I returned to North Carolina and attended UNC where I earned my MAT in Spanish (and more importantly, met my husband, Wayne!). I hold multiple teaching certifications in the areas of Elementary Education, Spanish, and AIG, and my teaching experience reflects this. I have taught K-5 Spanish, 4th grade, and AIG all here in North Carolina. After taking off eleven years off to stay home with my children, I returned to the classroom in 2012 as the AIG teacher here at Vance Elementary.
Even though this is my fourteenth year as the AIG teacher at Vance Elementary, I have been a part of the Vance Family since 2005 when the oldest of my three children began Kindergarten here. My oldest, Jonathon, holds a degree in Civil Engineering from NC State. Bryant graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2023 with a degree in Marketing, and Lindsay is currently a sat NC State double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Polymer and Color Chemistry.
When I'm not here at school, you can find me with my family! When I do have some spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, working jigsaw puzzles, and traveling.
