Part 1: Lyric Explanations

For each stanza try to understand what the lyrics are saying. The context of the song is that it is written by a man who serves in the military during World War 1. For any stanza you're confused about leave it blank and come back to it after you complete Part 2.

Part 2: Paired Article Analysis

Read the article on page two of the document. After you read answer the following three questions in complete sentences. There is no length requirement, but for full credit you need to give an answer that shows your understanding of the article, song, and how they mix.

Part 3: What if we changed the sound? (Seesaw)

Once you have finished part 2 you will move on to the final piece. You and a partner will choose one of the following videos as your music and record an audio of you performing the song. You can choose to sing it or rap it but you MUST use the two music samples provided.
