Tech Updates
The deadline for requesting replacements for student Chromebooks is Friday, May 8. Please have your students come to the Learning Commons this week to report any damaged, malfunctioning, or missing Chromebooks.
Students need updated devices for testing:
Final exams: Chromebooks must be running version 138 for final exams (share this slideshow to support students with updating).
AP exams: Student devices must have the latest version of Bluebook, released April 30. They should launch Bluebook as soon as possible to update the app. More information is here.
As always, please contact a librarian for support if you or your students need it!
Small Device Policy:
Please ensure that you are enforcing the Small Device Policy in your classrooms. Students are not to have cell phones, air pods, headphones, or small devices out in the classroom for any reason. Bookbags are to be up against the wall during instruction and testing as well.
Inclement Weather Reference Guide:
Please check out the district guidance regarding inclement weather. Inclement Weather (1).pdf
Golden Tickets
Staff please remember if students plan to come back to your classroom during lunch they need to have a Golden Ticket (no blue passes or sticky notes). You can find Golden Tickets linked here.
Discipline Report
Make sure you check the discipline report daily. If you have students assigned to ISS please send them with a pass when they arrive to you. If you are concerned a student will not find their way there, or they say they are not going, call *1518 and request admin.
PRINCIPAL WEEKLY STAFF UPDATES
Non-Reporting Students
2nd Period Teachers, please remind students that are non-reporting 1st, 3rd , or 4th that they are NOT to be on campus for any reason during the school day during their non-reporting periods. Students who are non-reporting 3rd or 4th are not allowed to get lunch; they must exit the building during transition to 3rd period. If students are on campus during their non reporting periods, they are considered trespassing.
Attendance:
Thank you to the majority of you that have been taking your attendance each period. We need ALL staff to take attendance within the first 10 minutes of each period. If you still do not have access to Infinite Campus, continue taking your attendance on paper and submitting it to Ms. Washington each period.
Cell Phones:
As a reminder, you need to be using one of the two options for student phones during class.
Option 1: Students place phones in a caddy away from the door.
Option 2: Students place phones in their backpacks, and their bags go along the wall.
