Meet Ms. Albers
She began her teaching career in Northern Virginia in 2002, fulfilling a dream she had since she was just twelve years old. After teaching in Virginia for four years, she moved to Wake County in 2006. She taught elementary school for several years, but her true passion was always teaching middle school.
When she joined Lufkin, she was full of excitement. She loves teaching and feels happiest when her students are engaged in her lessons. Every day, she comes to school motivated by her students and ready to teach. And although it’s bittersweet when they move on to new grades and experiences, she’s proud to have played a part in their journey—and excited to watch them grow.
Ms. Albers isn’t just a great teacher—she’s also a loving mom to her 20-year-old daughter, Olivia, and a proud dog mom to Max and Nala.
Her favorite book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, and she enjoys listening to Imagine by John Lennon.
