Gingerbread Lab

We are very excited about doing an Architectural Engineering project with your student on Friday, December 19th.  We will be studying multi-step word problems, area, and perimeter and would love to practice these skills by creating one large house.  Students will need to calculate the perimeter and area of their house and how many graham crackers they will need to construct it. 

We are asking your help in making this project possible.  Below is a list of items that we need in order to make it a success.  Any donation would be greatly appreciated.  We would need all items by Wednesday, December 17th.

Gingerbread Lab Sign-Up

ELA Department Announcement:

ELA classes will be annotating various texts this year in order to promote deeper understanding, improve information retention, and foster active engagement while reading. Included in those texts are 2 novels that have been WCPSS approved and recommended for use throughout this school year. Salem MS will be offering an optional way for students to purchase the two novels that will be used for each grade level. If your family chooses to purchase the books through Salem's wholesale prices, you will need to login into the SchoolCash Online platform to make sure you've registered your student with the platform. If you paid for anything online last school year, your student should already be registered. If you are new to the district, we encourage you to register as many of our school field trips and other payments can be made using this platform.

Once again, this is an optional opportunity for students to get discounted prices on the two novels utilized. You can also purchase the titles on your own. 

Track 3: The platform will go live on August 18th through August 29th for anyone who would like to purchase novels through Salem.
