My name is Emily Tadepalli, and the 2024-2025 school year marks my 16th year as an educator. I was born and raised in West Virginia, and I am a proud 3x Summa Cum Laude graduate of Marshall University (GO HERD!!!) This fall, I am starting a 3-year EdD online program in Organizational Learning and Leadership at UNC.
Teaching is my true calling. I received my first Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism, and upon graduation, I found myself feeling very unfulfilled. I knew in my heart I wanted to be a primary teacher, and I went back to school. I took 97 hours in 2 years while working full time. I graduated with a second BA in Elementary Education K-6 Generalist and went straight into my Masters program and graduated with my third degree in 2011. In addition to K-6 education, I have my K-12 reading licensure. I have taught in West Virginia, Ohio, and in North Carolina in both public and private education. I moved to North Carolina in 2015.
In my spare time...
I enjoy working out (every morning Monday-Friday.. I am what many would call a "gym rat"), puzzles, playing Sudoku, taking walks, reading, and teaching group fitness. I am also a HUGE fan of Mickey Mouse and all things Disney.
