Students who will be in grades 9-12 during the 2026-27 school year enrolled in regular education, honors, AP or college-level coursework, with an interest in a STEM career, and a documented disability, IEP, or 504 Plan are invited to learn more about the Catalyst STEM program through one of their Open House events in January.
The virtual Open House will be held Thursday, Jan. 15 from 7-8 p.m., with the in-person event held Saturday, Jan. 17 from 10-11 a.m. at NC State.
Interested students and their parents must attend one of the sessions to be considered for the program.
The Catalyst STEM program is a year-long STEM initiative for high school students with disabilities that facilitates hands-on learning with professors, grad students and industry professionals, while offering field study trips, certification opportunities, and providing access to transition planning and internships.
Resume and interview help? Need apprenticeship, internship, and/or continuing ed pathways info that lead to fulfilling careers? Attend the (FREE) JA Future Focused EXPO, Kerr Scott Building, NC State Fairgrounds, on 12/9/2025, 3:00–5:00 PM.
