Classroom Study Lists

*** You may encounter words that are not on the study lists during any Spelling Bee (classroom, school, county, etc). The purpose of a spelling bee is to know how to spell, not how to memorize.***

You will find the classroom lists in the shared drive that was shared with you in your welcome email.  Please contact Mrs. Cossa if you have any problems.  kcossa@wcpss.net

Grades 1-5

Your teacher may start with your grade level words or with the grade level before just to get you started. If the bee keeps going you need to be prepared for the next level of words. We are doing the spelling of the words only and not the definitions.  

Grades 3, 4, and 5

Make sure to study your grade level, the grade level before and the grade levels after. If you are a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade finalist (1st or 2nd place in classroom bee), you will be given some words you know and some you do not come final rounds during the School Bee.
