In place of Salem Elementary's annual lip sync battle assembly, the specialists team will be hosting virtual versions of The Masked Singer and Lip Sync Battle! The event begins May 1st and will last throughout the month of May. Please read the directions below to find out how you and your family can participate in each part of this awesome event!

Every Friday during the month of May we will post two videos of staff members singing-- but just like in the real Masked Singer show you will not be able to see their face! We will cover their face with an animal sticker from Flipgrid!
Every Friday during the month of May we will post two videos of staff members singing-- but just like in the real Masked Singer show you will not be able to see their face! We will cover their face with an animal sticker from Flipgrid!
You will watch the video and listen to the song on Flipgrid. Remember, all of the singers will be staff members from Salem Elementary. After watching the video, click on the Google Form to make a guess and to vote for the video you liked the best that week! We will reveal the teacher's names and the winner the following week so be sure to check this website every Friday, starting on May 1st!

The lip sync battle is a great opportunity for students and families to showcase their love of music and their hidden talents! Every Friday during the month of May we will post videos of students, families, and teachers singing along to their favorite songs! This part of the Salem Sings event will not be a competition, but rather a fun way to celebrate our PBIS program! We hope these videos make you feel connected and bring a smile to your face! To participate in this awesome event, follow the steps below...

STEP 1: Select a Song

Decide who is going to be in your video and decide on a song together. Make sure to pick an appropriate song that does not contain any inappropriate language or wording in any part of the song.
STEP 2: Make a 45 second video
STEP 2: Make a 45 second video
Due to copyright laws your video can only be 45 seconds. Decide on what 45 seconds of the song you want to use and what you want to do during the video. You can make up some cool dance moves, pull out some old costumes, or just stand there and sing your hearts out (or pretend to sing your hearts out)! Totally up to you. You can spend as little or as much time as you want on this. When you are ready.....RECORD IT!

*Please use the subject: "Lip Sync Battle Video", when emailing your video to Mrs. Calvert. This will help make sure that ALL the videos are seen and make it to the website! Please do NOT use talking points. Only email or Google Drive sharing with the above email address.
*By submitting a video you are giving permission for it to be posted to this public google site, and the Salem ES twitter page.
All videos for week 1 must be submitted by Tuesday, April 28th. Any videos received after that will be posted for week 2.

PRIVACY AGREEMENT: Any videos submitted for this event will be shared on the Salem Sings Google Site and possibly on the Salem Elementary Twitter page. Please be advised that when you submit a video you are granting permission for your child's image to be published to the Salem Google Site and the Salem Elementary Twitter page.
