Registration Process:

Counselors will present a registration lesson with all students through their math classes. The students will then have time to consider their options and talk with their parents about their choices. Then students will complete registration on Infinite Campus within the timeframe. Due to Infinite Campus being a new system we have two additional steps that students will need to complete: Google Form for Salem MS and turn in the paper copy of their registration guides with their choices selected. 

Instructions for Registration:

• Attend your high school’s curriculum night or review their presentation

• You can review Salem's powerpoint for a registration overview.

• Review your course guide with your parents and highlight your choices.

  • Review your recommendations from your teachers and ask them about it if it seems unclear.

  • Talk with your counselor if you have any questions

• Sign up for your classes on Infinite Campus (you will do this outside of class).

  • Make sure to click save. If you do not, your choices will not save.

  • Some schools will not be open for registration on Infinite Campus, check below under your school or ask your counselor if you are not sure. 

• Fill out the Salem google form with your selections, you will need to do this yourself within your Wake ID Portal.

• Turn in your registration guide with your first and last name to your social studies teachers. 

• Check if your school has specific requirements for this year and complete that step. You will need to complete this step while connected to your Wake ID. Resubmissions are not available. 

• Green Hope they will also need to fill out this form. You will not be able to complete registration on Infinite Campus.

• Green Level HS: students will also need to fill out this form. You will not be able to complete registration on Infinite Campus.

• Apex HS: students will need to turn in this paper copy: 9th Grade Registration Sheet. You will not be able to complete registration on Infinite Campus.

• Cary HS: Students will also need to fill out this form. You will not be able to complete registration on Infinite Campus.

• Panther Creek HS: Students will also need to fill out this form. You can also complete your course requests on IC. 

• Apex Friendship HS: Students will need to complete this form. You will not be able to complete registration on Infinite Campus.

• Felton Grove HS: students need to fill out this form.

• For Wake Early College of Health Sciences, STEM, or Crossroads FLEX you do not need to register at all. Those schools will reach out to your parents with registration needs.  

The registration window is open from Feb. 23-March 31.

Counselors will teach students about how to register on the following dates

Track 1: February 20th

Track 3: March 10th

Track 4: March 2nd

Students are expected to complete their registration at home with their parents. Deadlines for students are set before the registration window closes so the counselor can review selections for accuracy.

Salem Rising 9th Deadlines:

The registration window on PowerSchool will open on Feb 19th. 

Track 1: due by March 2nd (due to track out)

Track 3: due by March 20th

Track 4: due by March 10th
