The Salem Elementary School Library seeks to provide a safe, welcoming space for all students to develop and practice skills that will contribute to lifelong learning, including the 4Cs (communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking).

Library Policies
The library is open for circulation from 8:45 am - 3:30 pm every school day.
Students have the opportunity for book checkout during library specials and open circulation times in small groups or as a class.
All students can have a maximum of 5 books checked out of the school library at one time.
The book loan period is 3 weeks.
Damaged or lost books will incur a replacement fine - please take good care of our library books!
SPOT Expectations in the Library
S - Show Respect
Salem Salamanders show respect for the library and everyone in it by using kind words and following school rules.
P - Practice Self Control
Keep hands and feet to self and always use walking feet in the library.
O - Own Your Actions
Please let Mrs. Fox know about any damaged or lost library books.
T- Think Safe
Be safe on all the furniture in the library and be a responsible digital citizen when you are online.
