Valved Instruments:
Take all the parts on your instrument apart and set in tub with warm, soapy water. (NOT VALVES)
Swish bottom part of valves in warm, soapy water. Lay to dry.
Scrub out mouthpiece and all small parts (NOT VALVES). Lay to dry.
Use snake to clean out tubes of instrument. Lay to dry.
Let parts air-dry for a few hours.
Oil Valves and grease slides.
Reassemble instrument.
Trombones:
Take all the parts on your instrument apart and GENTLY set in tub with warm, soapy water. (BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH BOTH PARTS OF YOUR SLIDE)
Scrub out mouthpiece and all small parts. Lay to dry.
Use snake to clean out tubes of instrument. Lay to dry.
Let parts air-dry for a few hours.
Grease tuning slide and oil main slide (BE CAREFUL).
Reassemble instrument.
