My name is Rae Salargo and I've been an SMS spartan for 13 years. This is my 20th year teaching middle school math. I have 3 children (twin girls, 12 and a boy, 15). I enjoy playing with my dog, watching my kids play softball & baseball, and reading or watching TV in my spare time. I teach one Math 8 classes and three Math 1 classes. Below, you will find important information about these classes.

The Welcome Flyers below provide information on curriculum, grading, and supplies. *Students will get a paper copy on Day 1 of school.
Students should check the whiteboard in our classroom daily for homework & upcoming assessment dates. *This information will also be posted in the unit syllabus on the Canvas homepage.
When absent, students should check the syllabus for make up assignments, then check with me for understanding. *Students are responsible for missed classwork & independent practice/homework.

This is our learning platform found in your Wake ID Portal. Here, you will find important resources, announcements, & assignments. Be sure to check in daily.
Khan academy is a great resource to assist you with learning or reviewing a topic. There are videos & exercises by unit & topic. You can even search for something on your own to practice.
This is more than just a calculator resource! There are engaging, student centered, and collaborate activities we will use as a part of our class lessons.
Delta math is similar to khan academy in that it provides skills & application practice for math concepts.
