With 11 years of teaching experience in grades 3–5, I’m passionate about helping young learners grow both academically and personally. Originally from Mississippi, I moved to North Carolina in 2005 and have loved building a life here.

I’ve been married to my husband Jeff for 20 years, and together we’re raising two amazing kids—Quinn, a 19-year-old college student at Appalachian State, and Emily, a 17-year-old high school junior. Our home is full of life thanks to our three dogs: Harry, Luna, and Gryff. 

In my free time, you’ll likely find me curled up with a good mystery or thriller novel.
