Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year from the Rogers Lane Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA)! 

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year from the Rogers Lane Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA)! The PTA at our school is a collaborative volunteer effort between our school, our families, and our community that focuses on the students, teachers, and administration. We want to send a very warm welcome to each of you if this is your first year at Rogers Lane. If you are a returning Rocket, we are certain that you are equally excited as we are to begin this school year.

We are looking forward to continuing the working partnership we have established with the school administration, our amazing teachers, and our invaluable families.

We encourage each one of you to become a part of our team by joining the PTA. The number one reason to join the PTA is to benefit all of the children by supporting our volunteer efforts at school. In doing so, you help us achieve that goal. Here are some of the many advantages:

By becoming a member, you’ll have the opportunity to volunteer or just support those that can. Volunteering with your PTA gives you first hand experience inside the school and an opportunity to apply your skills, talents, and personality toward a good cause. By getting involved, you’ll help to make positive change in our school and community. The PTA is a place for exchanging ideas; attending PTA meetings throughout the year allows members to make suggestions and provide input.

You can join and support our school's PTA for $10. Where does the money go?The North Carolina Parent Teacher Association dues have increased to $5.25 as of July 1, 2023 ($3.00 goes to NCPTA and $2.25 goes to the National PTA) for State and National level child advocacy. Our school PTA keeps the remaining $4.75 that we use to support a positive learning environment for our students, teachers, and families.  

This year, we could use help with fundraising and volunteers for the various PTA committees. Please get in touch with us if you have any suggestions or want to offer your assistance in any way.
