I was born and raised in Willoughby, Ohio, right outside of Cleveland. I figure-skated from the time I was 3 until I graduated from high school. I also played golf in high school and college. After college, I began running and have completed 7 half marathons, and became a certified yoga teacher. After school, I love spending time with my dogs Sadie and Winnie.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Middle Grades with concentrations in Social Studies, Science, and Special Education from Catawba College. I have also earned my Math certification. I earned my National Board Certification in 2019. I was the 2021-2022 RMS Teacher of the Year.   

I taught 7th-grade science at North Garner Middle School from 2014 to 2016. I joined the Rolesville Rams community in 2016. At RMS I have taught 6-8th grade science, 6-7th grade math, and 6th grade social studies.
