Our Vision

At Rolesville Middle School, we envision the students as high-achieving lifelong learners who will graduate with the skills & knowledge for college & career-ready futures. Students are exposed to a challenging curriculum & extra curricular opportunities supported by a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program that nurtures individual talents & broadens their knowledge base. In partnership with our educational stakeholders, students will become productive & engaged citizens & move forward in the 21st century mastering the skills they have acquired at Rolesville Middle School.

Our Mission

The mission of the Rolesville Middle School Counseling Program is to provide all students with a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate data-driven program that meets the academic, social/emotional & career needs of students. The Rolesville Middle School counselors work as leaders & advocates within our school, alongside teachers, parents, administrators, & the community to ensure all students regardless of individual differences are prepared to meet the challenges of the future.

The Role of a Middle School Counselor

Middle school counselors are professional educators with a mental health perspective who understand and respond to the challenges presented by today’s diverse student population. Middle school counselors do not work in isolation; rather they are integral to the total educational program. They provide proactive leadership that engages all stakeholders in the delivery of programs and services to help students achieve success in school. Professional school counselors align with the school’s mission to support the academic achievement of all students.
