Exploring Family and Consumer Sciences

(FCS)

This middle school course is composed of instructional modules designed to provide instruction on basic Family and Consumer Sciences foundations and skills. The following modules are included:

-Interpersonal Relationships

-Personal Finance and Resource Management

-Nutrition and Wellness

-Food Service and Hospitality

-Early Care and Education

-Apparel Design

-Interior Design

As a student in Exploring FCS, you will have an opportunity to take advantage of many different learning opportunities including but not limited to: receiving EverFi’s FutureSmart™ and American Red Cross® Babysitter certifications, infant and germ simulations, cooking nutritious meals and snacks, and interior design team challenges!
