Check your Charger - it has two parts, and should be plugged in tight at the brick in the middle.
2. A light indicates the Chromebook is charging. Most of our Chromebooks have 2 ports for the charger, try charging the other side until you see a light come on. Charge it for at least 30 minutes before you try the power again.
3. Check the outlet in your home to make sure it's not turned off. Try another outlet.
4. Perform a Hard Reset by holding down the POWER BUTTON ⏀ AND REFRESH KEY ⥁ for 10 seconds. Check to see if the charging light comes on this time
5. Plug it all back in and out again to see if works. If it does, charge for an hour before trying to start again.
6. The next step is a wipe of the Chromebook. If you have some power, try this, it fixes things like charging, keyboard, and touch screen errors. Follow these steps: https://cbsupport.wcpss.net/downloads/chromebook-wipe-students.pdf
7. If the charging light still won't come on after troubleshooting, stop by to see Ms. Alston in the library, and she will do a helpdesk ticket to repair the Chromebook.
Wake County no longer distributes chargers. Read more here.

WCPSS uses an Internet filter called Zscaler to block inappropriate websites while students use their WakeID account.
If you see this Zscaler page, you should use your full WCPSS WakeID (e.g., wakeid@students.wcpss.net) & follow the prompts.
Thanks!
¡Gracias!
If this doesn't work the first time:
1. watch the spelling, it must be your use login with @students.wcpss.net at the end
2. sign out of the Chromebook and sign back in to try again.
Si esto no funciona la primera vez:
1. mire la ortografía, debe ser su uso, inicie sesión con @students.wcpss.net al final
2. cierre la sesión de la Chromebook y vuelva a iniciarla para volver a intentarlo.
Follow the Chromebook: Wipe Device instructions. This guide covers reconnecting to the network as well.
Test audio and video (Some recommended doing a screencast. I just did a quick Google Meet with the receptionist to test.)
Ensure the Chromebook will hold a charge.
Make sure device can access Internet.
Check keys to make sure all are working properly.
Make sure device is checked in from the last student.
Sanitize the device with tech wipes.
