RCMMS Drama is an after-school program open to all students and all grade levels. RCMMS Drama puts on a Fall Play and a Spring Musical. Any RCMMS student can audition to be in a show (play or musical). The program operates completely separate from drama classes offered at Reedy Creek.
RCMMS Drama puts on a play in the Fall of each school year. Interested students will need to attend the audition workshop the second week of school and fill out all appropriate forms. In order to be in the play, students must audition and bring all necessary paperwork. Hope to see you there!
In January, there will be open auditions for ANY interested RCMMS student for the Spring Musical. Interested students should attend the Audition Workshop and fill out all appropriate forms. More information about the Musical and Auditions can be found on the Auditions tab.
Consequences: Verbal warning, written warning to be signed by parent, A meeting with participant, parent, and director to discuss remove of participant from the program, Removal from show
Note about Absences: Unexcused absences during rehearsals may result in removal from the show. Unexcused absences during dress week WILL result in removal from the show. Unexcused absences at a performance WILL result in removal from the Drama Club’s Production and may affect future participation in any RCMMS Drama Club Production. If you are absent due to sickness, please have your parent send a note or email to Mrs. PVD to let her know to excuse the absence.

Mrs. Parker-Van Dyke (PVD) is the Drama teacher here at RCMMS. She has her BS in Middle Grades Education from North Carolina State University and her MA in Theatre from Regent University. She started the Drama Club with Ms. Hammond in the fall of 2013. Mrs. Parker-Van Dyke's expertise is in show production, crew, tech, and organization. She loves to work with new students and teach them all about the behind-the-scenes work in theatre.
