This is my fifteenth year teaching kindergarten and my first year at Carpenter and my ninth year teaching kindergarten within Wake County Public Schools.

I am originally from Syracuse, NY. Before moving to North Carolina, I lived in Arizona where I earned a Master’s Degree from Arizona State University. I am also a National Board Certified teacher.

I am passionate about teaching children to love reading, equity in the classroom, and utilizing instructional technology. I live in Cary with my husband and my daughter Reece (born in December 2017) and Emma (born May 2020).

In my free time I absolutely LOVE to spend time with my family, read, go to group fitness classes, and shop!

I am passionate about giving students voice and choice. I believe that even the youngest of students can take ownership of their learning.
