Welcome Pilots! My name is Lashena Washington. I am the Family and Consumer Sciences/Career Exploration teacher at Pine Hollow Middle School. I was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and grew up in Newark, New Jersey. I came to North Carolina when I was a junior in high school and graduated from Bertie High School. I always wanted to be a teacher. I went to college and earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education (Shaw U) and Masters degrees in Technology (NC State) and School Administration (NCCU) .  This will be my 27th year teaching. I have 2 adult children, a son name Jalil and a daughter name Jada.  When I am not working, I enjoy volunteering with my sorority Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in doing community service.     Spare Time: In my spare time I  love  reading, singing at  karaoke, playing flag football, listening to music,  traveling and going to the beach (My Happy Place).
