Mrs. Ellie Cain is a North Raleigh native and attended Leesville Road High School. Growing up, she took private piano for 11 years and participated in chorus during Elementary, Middle, and High School. Her senior year she was a student conductor of Leesville's advanced chorus, Capital Pride. She went to college at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study Music Education. While at UNC she was a part of the Carolina Choir and Chamber Singers, and was the Music Director of UNC's oldest all-female a cappella group, The Loreleis. Mrs. Cain completed her student teaching at Chapel Hill High School in the Spring of 2017, and graduated with a Bachelors of Music degree with a concentration in Music Education.
Mrs. Cain spent the first three years of her teaching career in Franklin County Schools teaching chorus at both the middle and high school levels. She served as the district's MS/HS level All-County Chorus Coordinator. She is now in her sixth year as a Pilot and directing the chorus program Pine Hollow! She is the PHMS Fine Arts Department Chair, and is an active participant in NCMEA.
In her free time Ms. Cain enjoys exercise, traveling, going to Hurricanes games, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family!
