Raquel Brooks is in her 4th year as the School Social Worker at Phillips! Brooks is originally from Brooklyn, New York, and before coming to Phillips she worked as an Employee Assistance Counselor.

Hello! I'm excited to join Phillips this year as your 2025-2026 School Social Work Intern. I'm currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at NC

State University. I also graduated from NC State this past May with a Bachelors of Social Work, Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, and a minor in Nonprofit Studies.

I grew up in Indian Trail, North Carolina, but lived throughout the East Coast and even Hawaii! I look forward to working with all of you throughout

the school year.
