Tuesday, May 24th around 11:32 a.m. shots were fired at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. Salvador Ramos was the name of the18 year old that opened fire and killed 21 people, 19 children and 2 adults. His grandmother was the first person shot before he entered the school. Ramos purchased an AR-15-style rifle (semi-automatic rifle) for his 18th birthday. The next day he returned the next day to buy 375 rounds of ammunition, and again days later to buy a second rifle.
Thursday, May 26th 12:00 p.m. thousands of students across the country participated in a walk out in support of the Texas shooting. Making a point that this should not be something that happens in this world. The support from these students at Panther creek was similar to other schools. Nearly every student left the building and walked to the football field with signs, words, and emotions to share with the crowd.
These students are trying to make a difference and leave their mark, no voices will go unheard.
