About Your Teacher

Hi! I'm Kerry O'Donnell. I am originally from Rochester, NY. After completing my BS (2003) and MS (2007) in elementary education, I moved to NC in 2007. While in NY, I taught 4th grade at a private Catholic school. I attended SUNY Geneseo for my BS and The University of New England for my MS. While in NC, I have taught grades 1, 2, 5, and 6. (Certified PreK - 6) As I am certified to teach all subjects....English Language Arts and Social Studies have been my primary subjects. 

Tim and I are the proud parents of two adorable little girls, Keira (7) & Kyla (5). We also have a very high energy black lab, Paddyman. 

I love studying ancient history and continue to love learning through teaching. In my spare time I try to travel whenever I can; watch my Miami Dolphins; cheer on Manchester United (Tim's favorite soccer team); spend as much time with my family as possible. 

 As we enter this new school year, this will be my 20th year teaching and I could not be more excited to be part of the AFMS team and community. Go Chargers!!
