The appropriate lexile level varies from child to child. These suggested levels for advanced readers below are a wide range so be sure to ask your child's teacher to give you the most up-to-date level based on MCLASS assessments. Keep in mind that books with higher lexile levels often have more advanced content and sometimes sensitive themes that youngers are not emotionally ready for. Always preview the books first! 

Advanced Kindergarten   The recommended lexile level for advanced kindergarteners is between 300 and 400. 

Advanced First The appropriate Lexile Level for your advanced 1st grader is between 401 and 500. 

Advanced Second The appropriate Lexile Level for your advanced 2nd grader is between 601-700

Advanced Third The appropriate Lexile Level for your advanced 3rd grader is between 801-900

Advanced Fourth The appropriate Lexile Level for your advanced 4th grader is between 901-1000

Advanced Fifth The appropriate Lexile Level for your advanced 5th grader is above 1001
