I am originally from Iowa. I still say pop and get told I have a Midwest accent!

I have a Master's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa.

I hold a State of North Carolina teaching license in four areas: K-12 Communication, K-12 Theater Arts, 6-9 Language Arts, and 9-12 English.

This is my 20th year of teaching. I have been lucky to teach at the high school, community college, and university levels.

This year I am teaching English I, Honors Speech I, and Honors Speech II.
