I will use this page to post daily tasks and activities for you during the time that we are away from the classroom. All of the activities are supplemental, meaning they are not Core Instruction and will not be counted for a grade. The purpose of these activities is to keep your Language Arts skills sharp until we are back together again and to let you connect with your peers! I miss you all and am looking forward to this digital learning adventure!

- Read "Thank You, Ma'am" by Langston Hughes (click on the title -- it is a link to the text) . We read several poems written by Langston Hughes during our Quarter 3 work. If you are interested in learning more about Langston Hughes, check out this biography from poets.org.
- Answer the comprehension and discussion questions at the end of the document. You may work on this throughout the week. Prepare your responses to the discussion questions for Thursday's Google Hangout Live discussion session!
