In English IV, we will study British Literature through the lens of our magnet theme of Medical and Health Sciences. This modern-day perspective will allow us to read novels, plays, short stories, essays, and poetry to ask how the writing of the past applies to the world in which we live.

Through our exploration of various selections of British Literature, we will also study vocabulary, grammar, and composition in an effort to consider the effect our own words have on the world around us.

To prepare for college and professional fields, we will further develop our skills in the areas of critical thinking, close reading, precise writing, note-taking, and communication. A research paper is required for this course, and leadership/teamwork skills will be developed daily.
