About Ms. Byrnes

Hello, I am Ms. Byrnes and I am your child's Science teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. This is my third year at Holly Ridge Middle School, and I am very excited to share the excitement of Science with your child!

I graduated Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a 6-9 teaching license and a minor in Psychology. While I was at Meredith College I was apart of the Meredith College Teaching Fellows, as well as the Student Government Association. After graduating from Meredith College I went on to receive my middle grades 6-9 Science teaching certification.

While at Meredith College I studied abroad in Italy and Switzerland, and I absolutely loved it! Since then I have traveled to Belize and again to Italy. Traveling both within the United States and internationally is a passion of mine, and I hope to visit all 50 states one day.
