My name is Mrs. Sass and I am so excited for the 2021-2022 (especially because I get to meet you IN PERSON!)

Let me tell you a little about myself. This is my 16th year of teaching; my 2nd year at Wakefield. My family moved to Raleigh in August of 2020 and we are LOVING it - we moved from a very small town with only a Walmart so it's nice to have shopping.

I am a ridiculous reader, I am sweetly sarcastic, and I am enthusiastic about my job. I LOVE what I do. (A little secret between us: I only get to teach the BEST kids in the school, so...

Other random facts: I am a pen aficionado, meaning I buy pens all the time looking for the best, but then don't use them because I don't want to waste the ink and end up using my cheap 97 cent Bic pens; I was married in Las Vegas; I love animals, especially when we went to the Winter Wonderland with goats at Christmas time last year and I tried to steal a baby goat; one of my pupils is larger than the other one because I was in a vicious nerf war and was shot in the eye - I am not kidding. I LOVE good horror movies, and when I say "good" I am really in to B-Level movies with super cheesy plots - like a 4.5 on IMDB is my sweet spot.

I have 3 dogs, 2 children, and 1 husband. We love roller skating, ice skating, hockey, miniature golf and the BEACH.
