About Me

My name is Melissa Michaud.  This is my fifth year at Green Hope High School and my 23rd year as a teacher.  Over the years, I have taught Keyboarding, Digital Literacy, Exploring Careers, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access, Principles of Business, Business Law, and Accounting.  I earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a Minor in Accounting from New Hampshire College and a M.Ed. in Business Education from Southern New Hampshire University.  I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher.  Based on where I attended college, you may have guessed that I am not from North Carolina.  I was born and raised in Connecticut, but moved to North Carolina 19 years ago when my husband was relocated for work.  I am thrilled to call North Carolina home now.  I have two children of my own (Brandon - 14 and Cole - 12) who keep me very busy with their interests in sports.
