About Me

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher!  In high school, I applied and was accepted as a NC Teaching Fellow.  In 2006, I graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Child Development and a K-6 teaching license.  In 2009, I graduated from Meredith with a masters in reading.  I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2010.  In my 17 years of teaching, I taught second grade for 12 years and third grade for one year.  I love using technology to enhance learning in the classroom and I am excited to start my fifth year as the STEM teacher at Adams!
