Tarrah Huff - Art Teacher
We hope you are excited to enter our inspiring world of art. At Heritage, we are happy to have the opportunity to get to know and teach all students the skills and knowledge to be successful in art.
As a student in the Heritage Art program, you will expand on knowledge of different media and techniques acquired in previous classes. You will apply art materials using complex concepts and personal expression to create final projects. Each project is identified with a problem; you must find a solution through multiple compositional sketches and planning of ideas. Personal imagery and independent work are expected. At the end of each project, a class critique and self-critique is used to evaluate and discuss each artist’s work. Art history, technology, and other disciplines are incorporated as they apply to each project. Art students will expand their knowledge in Mixed media, Drawing, Color Theory, Painting, and Sculpture as they develop creative habits and thinking skills.
Welcome to the Art Room's 617 & 611
Our Visual arts program has 2 Art studios equipped with high-quality art materials and natural light, pottery wheels for making ceramic works, and a kiln room. We encourage our students to explore their creative side.
