Just a little about myself…I was born and raised just outside of Washington D.C. in Springfield, Virginia. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2006, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in mathematics. I played D1 soccer for the UNCW Seahawks all four years and loved every second as a collegiate athlete! After having graduated, I moved back to NOVA and taught third and fourth grade gifted education classes. When I got married in 2009, we moved to Newport News, Virginia where I taught fifth grade gifted education classes for 8 years. In 2017, we finally made it back to North Carolina and now I'm excited to be at Brassfield!
I absolutely love being outdoors and being active. We love to make it back to our alma mater of Wilmington to go to the beach and fish as often as we can. I still play soccer as an adult and have taken on adult kickball. I travel all around the United States competing in tournaments with my team. Recently, I've taken on coaching my son's youth soccer team!
Speaking of family, I've been married for 13 years to my incredible husband, Hunter, and we have three sweet yet crazy little boys, Davis, Brady, and Cooper. Davis will be in 4th grade this year and Brady will begin 1st grade! Our newest addition, Cooper, joined us in September of 2019 and he is the absolutely sweetest little baby and a great addition to our family. We also have the sweetest golden retriever, Holly, who loves love and two kitties, Shadow and Midnight.
I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know my students and their families. This is going to be a great year! Please feel free to contact me at any time about any questions, comments, concerns you may have. My e-mail is JTull@wcpss.net.
