Mrs. Sargent's 7th Grade Math Essentials Class 2024-2025

Welcome to Math Essentials!  I am very excited to be your math teacher this school year!  My name is Kathy Sargent and this is my 31st year of teaching.  I taught for 7 years in a Vermont, Middle/High School, 2 years at Southern Alamance High School  and this is my 22nd year working for Wake County Public Schools.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education.  I am married and have two young adult children (Cameron and Maddii), a dog (Sophie), and two cats (Sprinkles and Jack).  When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, walking my dog, kayaking and going camping. I am looking forward to a fantastic  2024- 2025 school year!  Go RAVENS!

What is Math Essentials?

Math Essentials is a class that will help to increase student's number sense, number theory and individual math skills while working to meet both IEP goals and Grade Level  Math Standards.
