Welcome to my page!  I am a veteran teacher with 23 years experience teaching within North Carolina Public Schools.  I have been teaching Technology, Engineering, & Design at Wakefield High School for the past 8 years.  I come from a long line of educators and a father who served our nation's military.  I attended Western Carolina and earned my bachelor's degree in art and design. I have 3 children of my own who I spend most of my time with, and a passion for engineering and construction which consumes the remainder of my free time.  I am a collector of knowledge and constantly seeking new topics of study.  Despite my strong technological background I love being outdoors or on the lake where I grew up.  I am active in missions and have traveled to more than 30 countries around the world which nurtures my love of languages.  My favorite place to travel, so far, has been Kenya.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year!
