A little about myself :

My name is Kristi Ohnmacht and I've been teaching for 19 years. I graduated from SUNY Oswego in upstate New York, right on Lake Ontario. We decided that we were tired of shoveling feet of snow every winter... and fall... AND SPRING! So we got smart and moved down south in 2007 and I couldn't love North Carolina more!

I've been married to my husband, Ryan, for 16 years and we have two children: Jameson, heading to 5th grade at MES, and Emily, who's heading to highh school. We adopted the sweetest puppy, Reggie in 2025! He is half Husky and half Mastiff and was born on the 4th of July! 

Teaching brings me so much joy and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I love being able to support and help guide students to overcome challenges and be successful. Coming up with fun and unique ways to enhance their learning is something I'm always striving for. I'm so lucky to be an MES Mustang!
