A little about myself :

My name is Kristi Ohnmacht and I've been teaching for 18 years. I graduated from SUNY Oswego in upstate New York, right on Lake Ontario. We decided that we were tired of shoveling feet of snow every winter... and fall... AND SPRING! So we got smart and moved down south in 2007 and I couldn't love North Carolina more!

I've been married to my husband, Ryan, for 15 years and we have two children: Jameson, also a fourth grader, and Emily, who's in eighth grade. In December we adopted the sweetest puppy, Reggie! He is half Husky and half Mastiff and was born on the 4th of July! 

Teaching brings me so much joy and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I love being able to support and help guide students to overcome challenges and be successful. Coming up with fun and unique ways to enhance their learning is something I'm always striving for. I'm so lucky to be an MES Mustang!
