Ms. Langston

Hello, and welcome to first grade! My name is Jenn Langston, and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I have been teaching for 16 years, and this is my fifth year at Carpenter. I am so excited to be your child’s first grade teacher. I love building classroom community and helping students develop a lifelong passion for learning.

About Me:

I grew up in Durham and attended college at UNC-Charlotte where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  Following graduation, I moved to Raleigh and taught first grade for three years. I then moved to St. Simons Island, GA and spent 10 years there. During that time, I received my Master's Degree in Education as well. My son and I moved back to Raleigh in the summer of 2021 to live close to our family. We are so happy to be here! My son, Greyson is 9 years old and he will be in fourth grade at Carpenter this year. He started here in Kindergarten and he loves this school! I'm so excited for another wonderful year at Carpenter Elementary!
