My name is Jett Edwards and the 2019-2020 school year will be my 13th year of teaching. It will be my 11th year at Holly Springs Elementary School. Before that I taught kindergarten at Holly Grove Elementary for 2 years. When I moved to Holly Springs Elementary School I taught kindergarten for one year. Then I taught first grade for 7 years and 2nd grade for one year before returning back to first grade (my favorite grade).
I hold a degree in Elementary Education K-6 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (2007) with a concentration in psychology. I was able to graduate early, but decided to take more courses in Special Education in order to better meet the needs of all students who would be in my class.
When I am not at school, I enjoy being active, working out at Camp Gladiator, and running. I also practice pilates and yoga. My husband and I love to travel and go hiking. We have 3 dogs (Jojo, Sophia Estelle, and Tallie) and 1 cat (Joey). Jojo is a 13 year old Carolina Dingo. Sophia Estelle is a 13 year old dachshund/feist mix. Tallie is a lab/pit mix. Joey is a tabby mix.
