Welcome to 4th Grade!
Hello! I'm excited to begin my seventh year teaching 4th grade at Sycamore Creek Elementary.
I’m originally from the Chicago area and earned my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Later, I completed a Master’s in Teaching and Leadership at Saint Xavier University. I taught in the Chicago area for over a decade before taking time off to raise my children.
After relocating to the Raleigh area, I worked as a substitute teacher in Wake County for three years, teaching all grade levels. That experience included a long-term assignment right here at Sycamore Creek, and I’ve been proud to call it home ever since.
Outside of the classroom, I love hiking and spending time outdoors. My husband and I have two teenagers and two energetic dogs who keep us on our toes! Our oldest son lives in Washington state with his family, and we enjoy visiting them often during track outs.
I’m looking forward to a fantastic school year with your child. Just like I always tell my class: Let’s work hard so we can play hard! 🌺
