Week of July 19 and July 26 Reading –RL1.1– Ask and answer questions about key details in a text.

RL1.2-Retell stories, including key details, and demonstrate understanding of their central message or lesson.

Writing – Students will be writing narratives about their own experiences. We have been going through the writing process step by step from planning to revising. Students are learning sentence structure and how to write 3 or more sentences on a single small moment topic.

Math Unit 1 NC.1.MD.4 Students have been learning to organize and interpret data with up to three categories using various graphs to compare and ask questions about data (pose, collect, analyze).

Social Studies- 1.C&G.1.2 Exemplify ways individuals and groups contribute to the making of rules and laws. We discussed the importance of having rules in the classroom and learned about Rosa Parks and her contributions to the making of rules and laws.
