C&C classes are two-period courses offered to challenge freshmen. Ninth-grade academically motivated AG/Honors students are challenged to examine universal cultural patterns through literature and the study of US Economics & Civics.
With the use of North Carolina Department of Instruction's English standards, students will analyze historical texts to better understand how the United States continues to change it's governmental structure/practice to address societal needs.
This will be done through social collaboration and the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model.
C&C looks at four pillars to guide our curriculum. These pillars have essential questions to guide our understanding of these themes better and how they impact our lives. These themes are not solely dedicated to one quarter, but are interwoven throughout the school year with only an emphasis on each pillar as a focus.
1. Power
2. Rhetoric
3. Justice
4. Humanity
Remind Codes for Mr. Fuss
Parents, please refrain from signing up for the student Remind. That remind is for quick student reminders as well as reminders to return to the classroom when they are off completing projects in other parts of the building. Ex: "Please return to the classroom in 10 minutes!"
